Davao Snorkeling at Talikud Island

Talikud Island, a small gem off the southern coast of Samal Island in Davao Gulf, is one of Mindanao's finest snorkeling destinations — and one that most international visitors never discover. After a scenic 30-minute banca boat crossing from Samal Island, you'll arrive at Talikud's turquoise lagoon and begin your first snorkeling session over a shallow garden of staghorn and brain coral populated by schools of clownfish, parrotfish, and reef surgeonfish. Your guide points out nudibranchs, sea stars, and the occasional reef shark cruising lazily in the blue distance.
