What we publish
PANA.PH publishes practical Philippines travel information: fares, ferry and flight logistics, government fees, entry rules, seasonal conditions and destination planning. We do not publish sponsored articles disguised as editorial, and we do not accept payment for a ranking, a mention or a positive review.
Where our numbers come from
Every fee, fare or rule in a guide traces back to one of three things: a primary source (a government circular, a regulator notice, an official carrier fare rule or an operator price list), a booking we made ourselves, or a direct enquiry with the operator. When a figure comes from our own booking or a phone call, the article says so and gives the date.
We do not cite other travel blogs, AI-generated round-ups or content farms as sources of fact. If we cannot verify a number, we leave it out rather than repeating a figure that is circulating unsourced.
Fact-check dates and re-checks
Guides carry a "Facts checked" date. That date is the day a person re-verified the prices, schedules and rules in the article against their sources — not the day a script touched the file.
Time-sensitive guides (fees, visa rules, ferry schedules, seasonal conditions) are re-checked on a rolling basis. A guide whose facts are more than 12 months old goes back into the queue for re-verification or removal.
Original reporting and information gain
A guide only ships if it contains something a reader cannot get from the first page of results: our own price data, a comparison nobody else has compiled in one place, a documented field test, or a correction of a claim that is widely repeated and wrong. Restating what other sites already say is not publishable work here.
AI and how this site is written
We use software for research assistance, drafting support and data collation. Every published guide is edited and fact-checked by a person against primary sources before it goes live, and the editorial team is accountable for what appears under its byline.
We do not mass-generate destination pages from a template. Articles that share a section skeleton with another article are rejected by our own pre-publication checks.
Affiliate links and how we make money
Some links to hotels, tours, transfers, eSIMs and insurance are affiliate links: if you book through them, PANA.PH earns a commission at no extra cost to you. Commission never buys a placement, a rating or a recommendation, and we link to options we would use ourselves.
Where an option is genuinely the best choice but pays us nothing, we still link it. Where a partner pays well but is the wrong choice, we say so.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Email hello@pana.ph with the URL and what is incorrect. Material corrections are applied to the article and the "Facts checked" date is reset; we do not silently rewrite a claim and pretend it was never made.
Photography and attribution
Destination photography is either our own or Creative-Commons licensed material from Wikimedia Commons, credited to the photographer and licence on the page. We do not hotlink images or use photographs we do not have the right to publish.
