Full course or short entry

What to bring, and what not to
You will be in and under water for hours, so nothing you carry should matter if it is soaked or lost. Operators provide helmet, vest and usually a dry bag; you provide footwear that stays on your feet - sandals with heel straps or old trainers, not flip-flops, which come off on the first jump.
Leave cameras behind unless they are genuinely waterproof and tethered. The gorge is where phones go to die, and the jumps are high enough that anything loose in a pocket is gone.
The falls without the canyoneering
Kawasan Falls can be visited directly, without the gorge route - a short walk in from the road to the main tiered pools, where you can swim and take the raft under the falls.
