Subic Zoo & Zoobic Safari Family Tour
About this tour
Subic Bay's former US Naval Base is home to two of the Philippines' best family wildlife attractions — and combined into a single guided day trip from Manila (or from your Subic Bay hotel), they make for an outstanding full family day.
Zoobic Safari (morning session) is a 25-hectare wildlife park featuring the Philippines' largest Bengal tiger collection in a walk-through safari setting. The tiger feeding show — where guests in a specially designed vehicle enter the tiger enclosure while handlers direct the animals — is the undisputed highlight, and the crocodile show, African animal enclosure (zebra, ostriches, giraffes), and reptile park keep children engaged for 3+ hours. The park's design allows close encounters that larger international zoos cannot offer.
Ocean Adventure (afternoon session) is the Philippines' premier marine mammal park on the shores of Subic Bay, featuring sea lion shows, dolphin educational programs, and the Famous Birds of Prey show (Philippine eagles and owls in free flight). The dolphin interaction program (additional charge, worth it for children aged 5+) allows supervised swim-with-dolphins in a protected bay area with trained marine mammal specialists. A buffet lunch at the park's waterfront restaurant between the two attractions rounds off the day.

About the area
Subic Bay was the US Navy's largest overseas base from 1898 to 1992. Since its conversion to the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, the former base infrastructure now houses wildlife parks, adventure activities, and beach resorts — all within a secure, well-maintained area 2.5 hours from Manila.
