Siargao Mangrove Forest Paddle Tour & Magpupungko Rock Pools
About this tour
Two of Siargao's best non-surfing experiences in one half-day. First: the Del Carmen Mangrove Forest, the largest mangrove forest in Surigao del Norte — you kayak through channels lined with roots, where monitor lizards sun on branches and kingfishers flash past. The kayak route takes about 1.5 hours and emerges near the open sea.
Then drive 45 minutes to Magpupungko Rock Pools on Siargao's northeast coast. At low tide, a series of dramatic tidal pools form in the rocky coastline — some deep enough to jump into from the surrounding rocks (3–5m), with water so clear you can see every grain of sand. The pools are only accessible for about 4 hours around low tide — your guide times the visit perfectly.
