About this tour

Often called the most beautiful waterfall in southern Cebu, Tumalog Falls does not crash, it drifts. Dozens of thin streams spill over a wide, fern-draped cliff in Tan-awan, Oslob, forming a soft mist-curtain that catches the morning light and pools in a shallow turquoise basin below. It is more about atmosphere and photos than thrills, and it is utterly photogenic.

Because it sits just minutes from the Oslob whale-shark site, Tumalog is the perfect calm follow-up after an early swim with the gentle giants. A short, steep path (or a quick habal-habal ride down) leads to the falls, where you can wade in the cool pool, sit on the rocks, and let the spray drift over you.

Arrive before mid-morning to beat the crowds and catch the light beams through the mist. The entrance fee is small, the habal-habal from the highway is cheap, and the whole visit takes about two hours, making it an easy, rewarding add-on to any southern Cebu itinerary.
