About this tour

Tucked into the far-southern town of Samboan, Aguinid Falls is a multi-tiered waterfall that you do not just look at, you climb. Five distinct levels of smooth limestone cascade through the jungle, and with mandatory local guides you scramble up gentle ropes, ledges, and natural steps from one turquoise pool to the next, swimming and wading along the way.

The first levels are easy and family-friendly, while the upper tiers reward more adventurous visitors with quieter pools and pretty curtain falls. The whole experience takes a little under two hours and is one of the most fun, hands-on waterfall adventures in Cebu, a great alternative to the busier Kawasan crowds.

Samboan sits about four hours south of Cebu City and roughly 1-1.5 hours from Moalboal, so many travelers combine Aguinid with Kawasan canyoneering or a Moalboal stay. The entrance fee covers safety gear and your guide tip; wear water shoes or sandals with grip, as the rock can be slippery.

Is it difficult?
The lower levels are easy and suitable for kids and beginners with the guide's help. Higher levels are more challenging but optional.
