About this tour
Baler on the Pacific coast of Aurora Province is where Philippine surfing was born — the Apocalypse Now crew surfed here during filming in 1979 and left behind their surfboards, starting a local surfing tradition. Today Baler's Sabang Beach has consistent year-round surf (biggest swells in June–September), a thriving surf school scene and a relaxed backpacker vibe very different from busy Siargao or Boracay.
The 2-day package includes a surf lesson on day 1, free surf on day 2, accommodation in a guesthouse on the beach, and a visit to the Baler Falls and historic sites (the 1600-year-old Balete tree, Baler Church where the last Spanish garrison surrendered in 1899).

About 230km, 5–6 hours by bus from Cubao (JOYBUS or Genesis). Or fly to Palanan and transfer — rarely done. Bus is the standard approach.
What months have the best surf in Baler?
June to September for the biggest Pacific swells. October–May has smaller, cleaner waves — better for beginners.
