How to get to Siargao in 2026
All flights land at Sayak Airport on the island’s west side, then it’s a ~45-minute van to General Luna (the main hub) at a fixed ₱300 per person in the air-conditioned minivans waiting outside.
- Via Cebu (fastest & cheapest): the most popular route. Multiple daily flights Cebu → Siargao on Cebu Pacific, PAL and Sunlight Air, about 1 hour, fares roughly ₱1,200–₱2,500.
- From Clark (2026 update): from March 29, 2026, PAL’s direct Manila service moved to Clark (CRK). Clark → Siargao is about 2h20m, and direct Clark fares can start near ₱3,710. A Genesis P2P bus links Manila to Clark (₱310–₱450, ~2–2.5 hrs).

When to go
The dry months March to October are ideal for island life and beach days. Surf peaks September to November (the Cloud 9 swells are biggest then). Beginners can find gentle waves most of the year, so don’t stress if you’re not a pro.
Where to stay: General Luna
Almost everyone bases in General Luna — it’s where 90% of the restaurants, bars and tour operators are. Budget hostels start around ₱500/night, comfy mid-range rooms sit at ₱1,500–₱3,000, and boutique resorts climb from ₱5,000+. Digital nomad?
