Yes — the main tourist areas (Palawan, Siargao, Cebu, Bohol, Boracay) are very safe and Filipinos are famously welcoming. Use normal precautions: watch belongings in crowds, agree tricycle/habal-habal prices first, and respect the sea (rip currents, weather). Tap water is not safe to drink — stick to bottled. Tipping is appreciated but not expected.
