Misamis Oriental is the province surrounding Cagayan de Oro City -- the commercial gateway for Northern Mindanao, Camiguin Island and white-water rafting on the Cagayan River. The province also has the Initao Cave and beach areas and Initao National Park. CDO is the region's main airport and transport hub.

Fly MNL-CGY (CDO) then bus or van to the coast.
Best time to visit
February to May — dry season; Camiguin year-round diving.
