Davao del Sur surrounds Davao City on Mindanao's southern coast. Mount Apo -- at 2,954 m the Philippines' highest peak -- straddles the border of Davao del Sur and North Cotabato. Fly MNL-CGY (CDO) then bus or van to the coast.

February to May — dry season; Camiguin year-round diving.
