Typhoon season runs roughly June to November, peaking Aug-Oct. The driest, calmest stretch nationwide is roughly Jan to April. The eastern seaboard (Samar, Bicol, Eastern Visayas) gets hit hardest; the Visayas core (Cebu, Bohol, Negros) and Palawan sit further from most tracks. Went mid-March 2025 and had near-perfect weather everywhere. A friend who went in October got two days of ferries cancelled in Palawan. If you can only do Sep-Nov, build flexibility into your route and don't pre-book non-refundable inter-island ferries too tightly.
