Tubbataha Reef is liveaboard-only and the season is tight: mid-March to mid-June, when the Sulu Sea is calm (trips run roughly ₱95,000-170,000 for 5-6 nights, plus a ~$145 park fee; book 9-12 months ahead). For Donsol's wild whale sharks, Feb to May is prime, peaking March-April - it's seasonal and not guaranteed, unlike Oslob's year-round fed sharks. Both line up with the dry season, so April is a strong all-rounder.
