What's the difference between amihan and habagat seasons?
I keep seeing these words in trip guides and don't know which one I want.

Amihan is the cool, dry northeast monsoon (roughly Nov-April) - calm seas, clear skies, the classic 'best time to visit' window. Habagat is the warm, wet southwest monsoon (roughly June-Sept) bringing rain and rougher western-facing seas. On Boracay it flips which side is calm: amihan = White Beach calm; habagat = the boats and the action move to Bulabog/back beaches. Plan your beach side around the season.
