Monad Shoal is the famous thresher cleaning station and it's a dawn dive, you'll be in the water by 5am. It's deep-ish (~25m) so you need at least Advanced Open Water. Expect PHP 2,500-3,500 per dive depending on shop. Sightings are good most of the year but never guaranteed, the sharks are wild. Avoid the Aug-Oct peak typhoon weeks when boats get cancelled.

Getting there is half the trip: bus or van from Cebu City to Maya port (~4-5 hrs) then a small bangka across. The crossing gets rough in bad weather and can be suspended, so don't book it on your last day before a flight. Worth it though, I saw three threshers in one dawn dive.
