Do I actually need to learn how jeepneys work?
I keep reading about jeepneys but they look chaotic. Are they worth it as a tourist?

Honestly for most tourists, no — Grab and tricycles cover you fine in the cities. But jeepneys are the cheapest ride going: traditional ones start at P14 (after the March 2026 hike), modern e-jeeps P17. Just pass your fare up the row saying 'bayad po', and shout 'para po!' to get off. They follow fixed routes painted on the side. Great for short hops if you're not in a rush.
