Strawberry Farm + Wright Park Horse Riding — Baguio
About this tour
Two of Baguio's most beloved experiences, back to back: strawberry picking in the emerald valleys of La Trinidad, and horseback riding through pine-scented trails in the city's most atmospheric park. This half-day tour combines both into a morning that smells like pine resin and tastes like fresh strawberries — the quintessential Baguio memory.
The La Trinidad Strawberry Farm in Benguet is one of the highest-altitude strawberry-growing areas in Southeast Asia. From November through May, the low-growing plants are heavy with fruit, and farm staff guide you through the rows pointing out ripe picks — anything you harvest goes into your punnet to take home or eat on the spot with cream. The off-season (June-October) offers a still-scenic tour of the terraced valley and the chance to sample preserved strawberry products at the farm store.
From La Trinidad, the van climbs back up to Wright Park — a long, pine-lined promenade in the heart of Baguio built in 1920 as a leisure grounds for American colonial officials. The park's horse-riding trail runs through a corridor of 100-year-old pine trees; the horses are well-trained local mountain ponies, and guides lead rides suitable for complete beginners through confident riders alike. The 30-minute trail loop through the forest is genuinely lovely — cool air, birdsong, hoofbeats on pine-needle ground, and not a smartphone in sight.
