Puerto Galera White Beach Kayaking & Paddleboard

Puerto Galera's White Beach is the longest and most accessible stretch of sand in the municipality — a 400-metre arc of white sand facing a protected bay with calm, flat water that is perfect for water sports. Unlike Sabang next door (which is livelier and dive-focused), White Beach has a family-friendly, low-key atmosphere and the sea conditions here are consistently calm enough for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding year-round.

The session starts with a 15-minute paddleboard orientation on the shallows — balance, the paddle stroke, and how to read the gentle swell — before you head out independently or with your guide along the beach's length. The water is clear enough that you can see the sandy bottom throughout, with occasional coral patches visible from the board. Confident paddlers can venture around the headland to Coco Beach cove, where a small fringing reef adds an underwater dimension to the paddle.

Kayaks (single and double) are available for those who prefer seated paddling. The bay is protected from open-ocean swell by a chain of islands and the Mindoro landmass, making it ideal even when winds are up elsewhere. This is a perfect morning activity before the afternoon dive, or a standalone session for non-diving companions. Children 8 and above can paddleboard independently; younger children can sit on the nose of a parent's board with a guide alongside.
