About this tour

Puerto Galera's coastline is a patchwork of hidden coves, white-sand beaches, and coral gardens tucked between forested headlands. While most visitors stick to the Sabang strip, this island-hopping tour explores the quieter eastern and western beaches that locals know best — places where the sand is powder-soft, the snorkelling is excellent, and the crowds are minimal even during peak season.

The bangka departs from Sabang Beach and works its way along the Mindoro coast. Talipanan Beach on the western side is a long, calm arc of white sand ideal for swimming, lined by palm trees and backed by gentle hills — the kind of undiscovered beach that makes you feel you've found something special. Haligi Beach is smaller and more intimate, with a shallow coral garden just offshore that teems with parrotfish, surgeonfish, and occasional sea turtles. Bayanan Beach rounds out the day with snorkelling on a reef section known for its prolific coral coverage and visibility that often exceeds 15 metres.

Snorkelling gear (mask, fins, life jacket) is provided throughout the day. The boat crew prepares a simple Filipino lunch of grilled fish, rice, and fresh mangoes on one of the beaches. There is no fixed schedule — the guide adjusts based on weather, tide, and the group's preferences. This is unhurried, old-school island-hopping at its finest: just a bangka, your crew, clear water, and the Verde Island Passage horizon.

Puerto Galera reefs are generally richer in coral and fish life than Batangas alternatives, thanks to the Verde Island Passage location.
