Sarangani

Sarangani province on Mindanao's southern tip is a largely undiscovered destination -- Gumasa Beach (long white sand), the Sarangani Bay triathlon and Ironman course, and the Sarangani Bay marine reserve. The province is also the home province of boxing champion Manny Pacquiao. Most travellers skip it entirely; those who stop are rewarded.
Getting there
Fly MNL-CGY (CDO) then bus or van to the coast.
Best time to visit
February to May — dry season; Camiguin year-round diving.
