Nasugbu in Batangas is the beach gateway for the south Metro Manila crowd -- Hamilo Coast, Caylabne Bay and Club Punta Fuego resorts line the coastline. Public beach access is limited but there are good mid-range resorts. The drive from Makati takes 1.5 to 2 hours via the CALAX expressway.
Getting there
Fly MNL-LAO (Laoag) or take a 6-8 hr Victory Liner bus from Manila.
Best time to visit
November to April — dry season with pleasant temperatures.
