Dinagat Islands is a newly created province between Surigao City and Siargao -- an archipelago with pristine coral reefs, turquoise lagoons and no mass tourism. San Jose is the main port. Ferries from Surigao City reach the island in 2 hours. The islands are for travellers who want Siargao-quality water and beaches without any of the Siargao crowds.
Getting there
Fly MNL-CGY (CDO) then bus or van to the coast.
Best time to visit
February to May — dry season; Camiguin year-round diving.
