Bulabog Beach is Boracay's windward east coast -- the kite-surfing and windsurfing capital of Southeast Asia from October to May, when the Amihan (northeast monsoon) brings consistent winds. Kiteboard rentals and lessons available at multiple schools on the beach (from around 5,000 PHP per half day). Calmer June-September for standup paddleboarding.
Getting there
Fly MNL-LGP (Legazpi) or overnight bus/train from Manila.
Best time to visit
March to May — whale shark season; November to April for hiking.
