Bolinao

Bolinao is a coastal town at the western tip of Pangasinan with good diving in Hundred Islands marine reserve, a bioluminescent bay (Macaranas Beach), Cape Bolinao Lighthouse and Cape Santiago -- the country's oldest lighthouse. The drive from Manila (5 hrs) is long but the coastline is genuinely pristine.
Getting there
Fly MNL-LAO (Laoag) or take a 6-8 hr Victory Liner bus from Manila.
Best time to visit
November to April — dry season with pleasant temperatures.
