Bislig in Surigao del Sur is the gateway to Tinuy-an Falls -- often called the 'Niagara Falls of the Philippines', a wide multi-tiered curtain of water set in primary rainforest. The falls are 1.5 hours from Bislig by road. The area is part of the Northeastern Mindanao wilderness corridor and is genuinely undiscovered by international tourism.
Getting there
Fly MNL-CGY (CDO) then bus or van to the coast.
Best time to visit
February to May — dry season; Camiguin year-round diving.
