Siargao Sunset Party + Beach Bonfire

Siargao sunsets have their own mythology among travellers: the sky turns colours not seen elsewhere, the Pacific horizon is unobstructed for thousands of kilometres, and the island's surf culture means the crowd watching the sun go down are generally people who have spent their day doing something active and are deeply ready to celebrate the end of it.

This evening experience takes a small group by bangka to a private beach cove on one of the islands in the General Luna area — away from the mainland bars, with nothing but water and the sky. A sunset cocktail hour runs from 5:00-6:30 PM with live acoustic guitar and open bar. As darkness comes, coconut-wood fires are lit on the sand, a DJ transitions from acoustic to electronic and the bonfire becomes a dance floor.

The atmosphere is the Siargao that travellers describe when they say they never wanted to leave: unpretentious, beautiful, warm, and full of people from everywhere in the world who have all arrived because they heard this place was something special. You return to the mainland around 11 PM, buzzed, sun-and-salt-dried and entirely convinced that the people who told you to come to Siargao were right.
