Boracay Stand-Up Paddleboard Lesson & White Beach Cruise
About this tour
Stand-up paddleboarding is the most accessible watersport on Boracay's White Beach — calm, flat, and forgiving, the turquoise lagoon in front of Station 2 is almost perfectly designed for learning SUP. Even guests with zero board sport experience are typically standing and paddling confidently within 15 minutes. The full-body engagement — legs balancing, core stabilising, arms paddling — makes it a surprisingly effective workout disguised as pure leisure.
Your instructor begins with a 10-minute shore lesson covering board anatomy, paddle grip (the most common beginner error), body position, and turning technique. Then it's into the water for 45 minutes of guided practice, progressing from kneeling to standing once you feel stable. The final 30 minutes are free cruise time to paddle along the White Beach shoreline at your own pace, watching the island from the water. Early morning slots offer glassy calm conditions and the magic of Boracay at sunrise — the beach nearly empty, the light golden, the water mirror-flat. Sunset slots are equally beautiful and slightly more social.
The boards used are wide, stable beginner epoxy boards (at least 30 inches wide) that are almost impossible to sink. The instructor stays in the water beside you throughout. After the lesson, boards can be rented by the hour at a reduced rate for independent use. Many guests discover that SUP becomes their primary Boracay morning ritual — a one-hour cruise before the beach fills up is an exceptional way to start the day.
