About this tour

You've already caught a few waves — now it's time to actually surf them. This intermediate session is designed for guests who can consistently pop up on a board but want to progress beyond the basics: reading wave faces, generating speed with rail turns, duck diving through oncoming whitewater, and picking smarter line-ups. Siargao's consistent reef breaks and sandy beach breaks make it one of Asia's best places to progress your surfing quickly.

Your coach — a local surfer with competition experience — begins with a 20-minute video analysis session where you watch footage of intermediate technique. Then it's into the water on a mid-length board (7'–8') suited to your current level. The coach paddles alongside, calling waves for you and shouting real-time feedback on your positioning and timing. Sessions wrap up with an honest debrief and a personalised homework list for your remaining days on the island.

Progress in surfing feels exponential once you have the fundamentals — this session aims to unlock that leap. Many guests book two or three consecutive days of coaching and report dramatic improvements by day three. General Luna's surf schools have shaped a number of Filipino national team riders, so you are learning in serious company. The vibe is always encouraging, never intimidating.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if I am ready for the intermediate level?

Can I use my own board?
Yes, you can bring your own board if it is appropriate for your level. The coach will advise if a different board would serve you better.
Is this session available for kids?
Yes, for surfers aged 10 and above who already have some experience. Younger children should start with the beginner lesson first.
