Pagudpud Saud Beach & Blue Lagoon Day Tour
About this tour
Pagudpud earns its "Boracay of the North" nickname with not one but several world-class beaches within a few kilometres of each other. This full-day tour covers the two crown jewels: Saud Beach and the spectacular Blue Lagoon (Maira-ira Beach), whose intense cobalt water set against dramatic limestone cliffs and green hills looks almost too vivid to be real.
Saud Beach greets you with fine white sand and the gentle waves of the Luzon Strait โ perfect for swimming, beach volleyball, or simply lying in the shade of swaying palms. The beach is far quieter than Boracay, giving it a relaxed, local feel. Fresh seafood grills operate right on the sand; order kinilaw (raw fish cured in vinegar) and grilled squid for a true Ilocano seaside lunch.
After lunch the van takes you to the nearby Blue Lagoon, officially Maira-ira Beach. The towering cliffs frame an almost circular cove where the water shifts from emerald to sapphire depending on the angle of the sun. Snorkelling reveals reef fish in surprising variety. On the return journey you'll pause at the Bangui Windmills for that quintessential sunset or late-afternoon shot before heading back to Laoag.
