El Nido Kayaking and Snorkelling Adventure
About this tour
Swap the bangka for a sea kayak and experience El Nido at your own pace on this half-day paddle adventure. You'll launch from a quiet cove outside town and kayak through mangrove channels where juvenile reef fish shelter in the tangled roots โ a hidden nursery that feeds the entire Bacuit Bay ecosystem. The mangroves are silent, green tunnels navigated best by kayak; motorised boats cannot enter.
After the mangroves, you paddle out to a sheltered coral reef where the guide anchors the kayaks to a buoy and you slip into the water with mask and fins. The reef here is in excellent condition โ visibility often exceeds 15 metres, and the coral coverage is among the highest in the protected area. Expect to see clownfish, lionfish, blue-ringed angelfish, and schools of yellow snappers moving like liquid gold through the coral branches.
The tour is limited to 8 people, making it one of the most intimate experiences in El Nido. No prior kayaking experience is needed โ the guides spend 15 minutes with first-timers before launching. Perfect for couples, solo travellers, and anyone who prefers active exploration over group boat tours.
