El Nido Island Spa & Lagoon Wellness Day

Wellness tourism in El Nido has evolved far beyond resort spa menus. This full-day island wellness experience combines the natural therapeutic elements of Bacuit Bay — warm seawater, clean air, limestone-filtered silence, and the meditative rhythm of paddling through lagoons — with a genuinely skilled spa treatment in a location that most spa practitioners can only dream of working in.

The day begins with a sunrise lagoon kayak through the mangrove channels and into the Small Lagoon, where the enclosed water is warm, still, and completely private at 7:00 AM before any tour boats arrive. After paddling, you reach a private beach on a small island where a 90-minute spa treatment is set up on the sand under a linen canopy — choose from a deep-tissue Swedish massage, traditional hilot, or a hot stone treatment using stones warmed in the lagoon water.

A healthy seafood lunch follows — grilled tuna, fresh kangkong salad, coconut-based vegetable curry, and fresh fruit — prepared by an on-site cook. The afternoon is spent snorkelling a marine sanctuary adjacent to the island with one of El Nido's most experienced naturalist guides, then kayaking back at your leisure before the afternoon tour boats appear.
