Coron Island Ultimate Tour — Kayangan Lake & Twin Lagoon
About this tour
If you do one thing in Coron, do this. The Ultimate Coron Island Tour is a masterclass in Philippine island beauty, combining a UNESCO-nominated lake, a secret twin lagoon, World War II history, and some of the Coral Triangle's most diverse reefs — all in a single jaw-dropping day.
The first stop is Kayangan Lake, consistently ranked Asia's cleanest lake. After a 10-minute climb up a limestone viewpoint (the most-photographed spot in Palawan), you descend to the lake's edge and slip into water so clear you can count individual pebbles 10 metres below your feet. The lake's unique mix of fresh and salt water creates distinct thermoclines — swim through pockets of warm and cool water simultaneously. The surrounding forest is UNESCO-listed and home to hornbills and rare orchids.
From Kayangan, the boat crosses to Twin Lagoon — two connected lagoons separated by a limestone wall with a small passage only crossable by swimming (or squeezing through at low tide). The inner lagoon is warmer and shallower, perfect for floating peacefully surrounded by towering cliffs. The tour also includes Skeleton Wreck (a shallow Japanese ship perfect for snorkelling), CYC Beach for lunch, and Coral Garden for the day's best underwater colour show.
