Cebu to Bohol Day Trip (Chocolate Hills + Tarsier)
About this tour
Bohol is one of the Philippines' most rewarding island destinations, and its headline attractions — the surreal Chocolate Hills and the world's smallest primate — are within easy striking distance of Cebu by fast ferry. This day tour strings together Bohol's greatest hits with military precision, giving you a full day on the island without the need to book overnight accommodation.
The journey starts with a 2-hour fast-craft crossing from Cebu's Pier 1 to Tagbilaran City. A private vehicle and guide meet you at the pier and whisk you directly to the Tarsier Conservation Area in Corella, where you'll observe these impossibly large-eyed primates — the size of a man's fist — clinging silently to their forest branches. A responsible sanctuary, the tarsiers are in semi-wild conditions and tourists observe from 2–3 metres to avoid stressing them.
The afternoon moves to the Chocolate Hills viewpoint — over 1,200 perfectly conical grass-covered limestone mounds stretching to the horizon, bronze-brown in dry season (hence the name). The vista from the viewpoint steps is one of the Philippines' most iconic panoramas. A Loboc River lunch cruise rounds off the day before the ferry back to Cebu — fresh Filipino buffet on a floating restaurant drifting through jungle-lined riverbanks. It's a full day, but perfectly paced.

About the area
Bohol is the tenth largest island in the Philippines, just 2 hours by fast ferry from Cebu City. Its interior is a rolling landscape of rice paddies, heritage churches and the extraordinary Chocolate Hills geological formation. The province is also known for pristine diving around Balicasag Island (add a day if you can).
Fast ferries (Ocean Jet, Lite Ferries) leave Cebu Pier 1 several times daily. See our Bohol travel guide for more on what to see, where to stay and how to get there independently.
