Boracay Island Hopping with Snorkeling
About this tour
Beyond the famous White Beach, Boracay sits within an archipelago of smaller islands and submerged reefs that reward exploration. This half-day island hopping tour takes you out on a traditional bangka to visit the three best sites within reach of Boracay's east coast: Crocodile Island (a limestone formation that resembles its namesake from the air), Tambisaan Reef, and Crystal Cove Island.
Crocodile Island is the snorkeling highlight โ the protected waters on its leeward side host a thriving reef system with hard and soft corals, schools of colourful reef fish, and occasional sea turtles gliding past in the blue. Your guide will point out the best spots and assist less confident snorkelers with their gear. Tambisaan Reef, on Boracay's quieter east side, offers a contrast to the busy White Beach energy โ calmer, greener water and a more rugged shoreline frequented by locals rather than tourists. Crystal Cove Island charges a small entrance fee but rewards with a natural cave system and a modest cliff jump into a sheltered cove.
The boat departs from Tambisaan or Cagban pier on Boracay's eastern side. The east-side departure makes it ideal to pair with a Puka Shell Beach visit or D'Mall shopping in the afternoon. Island hopping is best done October through May when the Habagat (southwest monsoon) has passed and the Amihan wind creates calm conditions on the eastern coast.
