The day begins with a visit to the Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella — home to the world's smallest primate. The Philippine tarsier weighs just 100 grams and has eyes larger than its brain. The sanctuary keeps them in a natural semi-wild environment; you walk among the trees as guides point out the tarsiers resting motionless in the branches (they are nocturnal, so daytime is their sleeping time). Children find them utterly enchanting. Photography is permitted with the guide's direction to avoid stressing the animals.

The Chocolate Hills viewpoint follows — the guide explains the geology and legend of the 1,268 conical hills while children climb the viewing tower for panoramic shots.
