About this tour

No trip to the Philippines is complete without seeing the Chocolate Hills, and this full-day Bohol package gives you the best of them — literally. You'll strap into an ATV and thunder across rust-coloured trails with the 1,776 conical hills rolling endlessly to every horizon. At the official viewpoint the hills look exactly like a box of Ferrero Rocher left in the sun, and the panorama is one of the most photographed sights in Southeast Asia.

Mid-morning you'll slip into the cool shade of the Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella, home to the Philippine tarsier — possibly the most photogenic animal on Earth. Weighing just 120 grams with eyes bigger than its brain, the tarsier clings to twigs at eye level while your guide explains its nocturnal habits and conservation status. The sanctuary is a true refuge (no flash, no touching), so sightings are genuine and calm.

Lunch is aboard a floating bamboo restaurant drifting along the emerald Loboc River, one of the most scenic stretches of water in the Visayas. A spread of Filipino dishes is served while lush jungle canopy slides past the railings and children wave from the riverbanks. Back on land the afternoon adds a stop at the Baclayon Church — one of the oldest coral-stone churches in the Philippines — before returning to Tagbilaran or your Panglao resort. Book via Klook for instant confirmation and a fully organised itinerary with hotel pick-up.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best time to see the Chocolate Hills?
April to June (dry season) turns the grass brown, giving the hills their famous chocolate colour. In the wet season they stay lush green, but the shape is equally impressive and crowds are smaller.
Can children join the ATV ride?
Children aged 7 and above can ride as passengers with an adult driver. The ATV trails are suitable for beginners and no prior experience is needed.
Are the tarsiers guaranteed to be visible?
Yes — the sanctuary keeps rescued tarsiers in a semi-wild enclosure and sightings are virtually guaranteed. Flash photography is strictly prohibited to protect the animals.
