Boracay Month-by-Month: Complete Seasonal Guide for 2026
Boracay is one of the few Philippines destinations with truly reliable year-round tourism infrastructure -- because it has reliably good weather on at least one beach at virtually any time of year. The east side (Bulabog) and west side (White Beach) have opposite weather exposures. Here is the complete seasonal breakdown.
January and February: Peak Season
White Beach: calm, warm, brilliant. This is peak tourism season with maximum crowds and highest prices. The Sulu Sea on the White Beach side is at its most beautiful -- crystal clear water, gentle waves, photogenic. Bulabog Beach on the east side: windy. January-February is peak kitesurfing season for Bulabog. The Boracay International Funboard Cup is typically held in January. Overall: the best weather, highest prices, most people. Book 3-4 months ahead.
March and April: Great Weather, Declining Crowds
The weather remains excellent -- dry, hot (32-35 degrees Celsius), calm seas on White Beach. March and April are arguably the best months to visit Boracay: weather as good as January-February but with 20-30% lower prices and fewer tourists. Easter week is the exception -- Holy Week (Semana Santa) is one of the busiest periods of the year as domestic Philippine tourists flood beach destinations.

Conditions: mostly good with increasing afternoon rain. May is hot and humid (35+ degrees Celsius). The southwest monsoon is beginning to strengthen. White Beach remains mostly calm but occasional rough patches appear. Accommodation prices drop 30-40% from peak. An excellent month for value-conscious travellers willing to accept some weather variability.
July and August: Wet Season
The southwest monsoon hits White Beach directly. White Beach can have rough waves during this period. The clever move: switch to Bulabog Beach on the east side, which is sheltered from the southwest monsoon. Kitesurfers and windsurfers do the reverse of peak season -- Bulabog is now calm and beautiful while White Beach is rough. Prices are at their annual low. Crowds are minimal.
September and October: Typhoon Watch
September and October carry the highest typhoon risk for Boracay. While Boracay itself is rarely hit directly, nearby storms can bring rough seas, flight disruptions, and periods of confinement to the hotel. When weather is good (which it often is), this period offers spectacular value and near-empty beaches. The gamble is worth it for flexible travellers with travel insurance.
November: The Best Hidden Window
The northeast Amihan begins re-establishing itself in November. By mid-November, White Beach conditions are returning to their January-quality calmness. Prices are still 15-25% below January peak. November is arguably the best-kept secret month for Boracay travel.
December: Party Season Begins
December is divided: early December (1st-22nd) has good weather at slightly below-peak prices. Christmas-New Year (December 23 to January 2) is the most festive, most crowded, and most expensive period of the year. New Year Eve on Boracay White Beach is spectacular -- and overwhelming. Book months ahead for this period.
